A new three-level, 3,000sqm health and wellness facility is planned for a vacant site adjacent to the 2.7ha Brackenfields Shopping Centre. The proposed development, which is subject to planning approval, is set to attract more medical professionals into the town, the population of which (according to Stats NZ data) has increased by 58% over 12 years.
